RULES FOR THE RALLY
FIELD
As Caravan Club members we all agree to conform to the CARAVAN CODE. The following
rules have been drawn up by your Committee as a guide to ensure that everyone
enjoys their rallies with the minimum of disturbance.
1. The Rally Officer has volunteered to run your Rally. He has the full backing
of your Committee and can arrange the rally however he wishes with certain limits
which he is aware of. If you do not like the way he runs things you can improve
upon them when you are Rally Officer. Your support will make his job much easier
and your co-operation is essential and expected.
2. Vehicles must not exceed 5 m.p.h. speed limit on the site and unlicensed
and learner drivers may not drive on the field.
3. Visitors cars should be parked in accordance with the Rally Officers instructions.
4. Caravans should normally be parked with the front off-side adjacent to the
peg and normally awnings will be on the left side and towing vehicles on the
right.
5. Your own toilet is essential at all rallies and facilities will be provided
for the disposal of chemical toilets only.
6. Waste water must be disposed of in hedgerows or into drains.
7. Equipment and essential washing only around caravans should be kept to the
minimum.
8. There must be no noise on the site after 11 p.m. Remember that sound carries
at night and although you may be a late bird your neighbour may not be.
9. So as not to cause annoyance to other Rally goers generators must be turned
off between the hours of 9 pm and 9 a.m. excepting organised Centre functions.
10. Dogs must be kept on a lead (up to 10 feet in length) and should be exercised
well away from the caravans.
11. In inclement weather to avoid spoiling sites it may be necessary to tow
caravans off the site using other vehicles. This is done at the request of the
Rally Officer with your agreement and at your own risk. Ensure that your caravan
insurance covers this risk.
12. Please remember that we depend upon landowners for the site and we would
like to return. Do not leave any litter behind and please leave the land as
we wish to find it.
13. Pegs may not be reserved on weekend rallies but a maximum of 2 pitches may
be reserved for friends or relatives at holiday rallies. We all rally for pleasure.
Your pleasures may be different to your neighbours. Think of them as well as
yourself. In this way we will all enjoy our caravanning to the full. You are
strongly advised to keep a fire extinguisher in working order in your caravan
